Amanda Luton was born and raised in the small town of Glenrock, Wyoming. She attended the University of Utah on full scholarship to the Ballet Department, and graduated with University and Departmental honors, completing a double emphasis in performance and teaching. While at the University she was a member of Utah Ballet and Character Dance Ensemble. Amanda moved to Colorado shortly after graduation in 2007 to begin her dance career with David Taylor Dance Theater.
After a knee injury caused her to take a year off from dance she began pursuing her Pilates certification in hopes to aid others through injury rehabilitation and prevention. Amanda completed her certification in 2010 through the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Department of Dance which is affiliated with the D.K. Body Balancing Method. Because of Pilates, Amanda is excited to begin her fourth season with David Taylor Dance Theater this fall and is also able to teach all forms of dance at two studios in the Denver Metro area.
